I don’t like the idea of you being let go, but I do like the art you made out of it as a way of channeling your emotions. It seems hard now, but you WILL get through this.
Awww….this is sad:( I’m sorry you have to go through this, but I’m glad you have art as a creative outlet. It’ll help when things seem bleak. The colors in this post speak to your strength in trying to get through this trying time.
hey diy-sara. i’ve been “let go” a bunch of times (at least 5) and i agree, the first time is rather rough. that being said, that “in between” time is the best time ever! you can work on things you always wanted to work on but didn’t have the time. you can hang out with your dog (i LOVED that hang-out dog time before i got married and had a kid) you can rest and let your ankle heal properly. you can illustrate, draw, write, work on some back burner projects, create new ones, take some drives around your town, take some pics of things you’ve never noticed before. spend some quality time with yourself – get to know yourself better – these are the times when your creativity peaks so take advantage of that. i’m not sure what you did for work but i don’t believe that what you do for a living entirely defines you so you can’t let this pummel your spirit. as you have been “let go” you totally have the opportunity to redefine yourself which i personally think f’n rocks. so, do it yourself, sara. let yourself go SOMEPLACE ELSE and make it so that you can enjoy the ride…

What he obviously meant to say was, “let you FLY!”
