I’m enjoying my new stickers. This week’s “theme” is kind of fishy and fun. I used some washi style decorative tape and stickers from my new set. I can’t help but smile when I look at these fish!
So many stickers for just $1.00. I am so happy that I splurged. I’ve looked at other stores and even online. I can’t believe how expensive stickers can be~! I’m considering getting some labels or sticker paper and making my own designs. Has anyone ventured into this realm of DIY before? I’d love to hear more about it.
I can tell that Autumn is setting in. There are leaves on the ground and a chilly bite to the air. My craving for hot tea has started too. During the colder months, you can usually find me with a hot mug warming my hands. I’ve been caffeine-free for several years so my stash is mostly herbals and decaf brews. Mmmm I think I’ll go make a cup right now.
Take care and be well.
Here is week ten. I used several different pens – ballpoint and gel. I love that the Paperblanks planner has better paper than Moleskine.
I have been hired on for a part time job. I interviewed on Wednesday and was overjoyed to get a call the next day. I dropped off my pre-employment paperwork on Friday and start tomorrow. My planner needs are bound to evolve in the next weeks so stay tuned. For now, I’m taking great advice – sticking with what has been working.
I began this year with one planner. I won a 2012-2013 Paperblanks planner and had moved into it before the end of last year. It’s a horizontal weekly layout or a week-on-two-pages as some would call it. I had trouble parting with my Moleskine weekly but I did it and transferred much of the overlapping months into the new Paperblanks.
But then something happened. I found a Orange Circle Studio weekly planner for just a dollar and I had a dollar so it came home with me. Could I use two planners simultaneously? What would I put in one and not in the other or should I put stuff in both?
Not long after a friend sent me a 2012-2013 Filofax refill which was the only thing stopping me from using my Olive Urban personal Filofax binder. The plot thickened. Now I had three options.
The fourth planner resulted from a pair of generous Twitter friends. One sent me a red Finsbury Filofax binder. A real one. In red. And it’s awesome. I love it. The other awesome Twitter friend gifted an awesome Dutch weekly calendar and monthly pages. The binder and refill combine forces to become option number four.
I have four planners for 2013 and I’m stumped. Absolutely stuck in plannered confusion. Should I try one of the others? Do I dare attempt to separate my planning into multiple places? If I try a different planner, should I copy everything over? I’m afraid to mark them up in case I should give them to someone else… Should I have a giveaway?
Any and all helpful advice or insight is welcome. I am still in the process of hunting down a new job so my needs might change again but for now… I just feel guilty not using the three other options. This has all become too confusing to figure out on my own. :)
I dug out my Zebra NuSpiral ballpoint pen and used it for most of my planner writing. It’s a great feeling pen with a nice squishy grip. The refill is a fine black. It writes nicely without much pressure. I was gifted a second one with a turquoise grip but had trouble with a blue refill exploding. I had never encountered this problem and contacted Zebra. They were awesome and sent me a replacement turquoise grip pen and refill pack. Unexpectedly, they also sent a blue grip NuSpiral. I’m in NuSpiral heaven!
No stickers this week. It’s been a very difficult time. My eight year old doll-face flame point Himalayan cat Oliver was euthanized Wednesday morning. I’ll post about him separately very soon.
Here it is – my week six. Not too exciting, not very glamorously recorded either. Things are in an odd orbiting haze these days. I apply to various jobs I think I’m qualified for and then wait and wait. I take a test to work for the city this week. I’m a bit nervous but I’m pretty sure I can do alright. But then what? Will I get an interview? It is best not to make plans and not to worry. I’m trying to live in the now and have been escaping into the pages of a good book when I need the distraction. Life is fickle so I’m trying to enjoy my time or at least be content. I really aggravated my ankle and tendinitis yesterday so today I am granting myself permission to rest and read.
I have an bit of a stationery obsession. You hadn’t noticed, had you? Luckily, I am in great company. The marvelous Angela from Paper Lovestory is just one of the many who constantly tantalize me with exotic Filofax postings. The “My Week” invitation is out for anyone who would like to join, regardless of planner type. I thought, what the heck, why not? It will keep me posting and keep me more dedicated to the Paperblanks planner I’m using for 2013.
Oddly, I have been using mostly mechanical pencil in my planner these days. I highlight appointment times with yellow but always have a pencil handy. The Pentel Click Erase in 0.5 and 0.9 to start the year and my new BIC Reaction with the awesome grey body since I bought it January 6th. It has a fully retractable tip so there isn’t any risk of snagging or unintentional self stabbage. Been there? ouch.
The Paperblanks planner is smaller than the Moleskine Horizontal weekly I used last year but it works. I’m still searching for a new job so my days are not very full. I have been filling in more details just to keep my mind from having to remember. I’m afraid my brain is beginning to atrophy. I need to do more puzzles to keep the juicy gray matter viable. Please note that any information that I deem “not suitable for sharing” will be disguised by the glass, nose, mustache stamp in Aviary. I think it’s funny and does the trick.
Here is MY WEEK 1 and MY WEEK 2 which catches me up. Look for my next post Sunday or Monday as that will be the routine. I hope to stick with this all year. I think I can. Will you join too?
